SIM swap attacks are the fastest-growing account takeover threat out there, and if you haven't set up a transfer lock or port freeze with your carrier yet, you're basically handing hackers the keys to your digital kingdom. Most carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon let you enable this feature so nobody can transfer your number without you physically showing up at a store with multiple forms of ID—yeah, it's a pain in the ass when you actually need to switch carriers, but it beats watching your life go down the shitter.
